Demaged ball joint repair.
Solution
A damaged 3-piece ball joint was dismounted from a 35 t press. Parts were scanned, original actual geometry was measured by a laser scanner. Alignment errors were analyzed, later 3D models were reverse engineered from point clouds. We created drawings for regulating the nests on CNC turning machines and redesigned the ball stud to ensure functionality and to elevate the upper dead-end position of press.
