Task

Real-time simulation of low-pressure water system

Solution

After studying the mechanical design, we decided to model the hydraulic system with SimScape (physical modelling) and handling the IOs (Boolean, Voltage, Current and frequency IO at 2nd modelling layer) by Simulink basic blocks. Lookup tables were used to simplify plumbing segments in open loop control. We used measurement data to validate the model and to check flawless integration of a continuous hydraulic model into a discrete control system development environment. We built MIL environment and created testing scenarios before performing SIL tests.
