Build a test machine that measures stiffness and damping parameters of rocker arms. The measurement method must had to be similar to the application method as much as possible.
Test machine concept was worked out together with the customer. Iterative method resulted an equipment that is capable of performing what if scenarios regarding several case, such as misalignment of rocker, balancement error of rocker. Machine components were made of sheet-metal, safety covers and frame was extruded Al profiles. Order specific excitement force and reaction torque sensors were developed and crafted by SPR.
Data acquisition and real time measurement analysation by NI LabView application. The first batch (208 pcs) of rockers was measured by SPR.
