Measure complex geometry of a gun barrel and create drawing in order to provide information for fixture design.

Solution

We scanned the section in consideration with a hand-held Freescan Combo metrology scanner. Cleaned the mesh, exported stl. From the mesh data we reverse engineered CAD file by DesignX app. Finaly we created drawing, exported dxf, pdf and step data.

Demaged ball joint repair.

Solution

A damaged 3-piece ball joint was dismounted from a 35 t press. Parts were scanned, original actual geometry was measured by a laser scanner. Alignment errors were analyzed in 3D models revere engineered from point clouds. We created drawings for regulating the nests on CNC turning machines and redesigned the ball stud to ensure functionality and to elevate the upper dead-end position of press.

Mechanical concept, design and built of tester.

Solution

As a supplier of Omegabite Ltd. we were responsible for the mechanical part of this complex project. Starting from conceptual 2D sketch through detailed modelling, manufacturing and CE certification we tackled challenges. Project leading and electrical design belonged to Omegabite Ltd. During testing, installation and refinements we were the local team of OMB.

Create a variable volume tank that keeps fluid at 700 bar and 150°C. Volume adjustment takes place at atmospheric pressure.

Solution

Modular, easy to maintain stainless steel chamber with plunger piston attached to a spindle. Only chamber withstand high temperature, adjusting motor is located outside of heated coffin.

Sample holding container for leak-off testing.

Solution

Oval shape moving plunger above sample to achieve prescribed shear length of testing fluid. Plunger position is indicated by an integrated micrometer dial gauge. Special sealing tube rim gripping development to minimize radially unloaded sample length. Sample is triaxially loaded at 150°C with 150 bars.
